My sister's husband I'm pretty cool with.
My wife's sister is another story. Very cordial but don't know her that well. I've tried to talk to her husband but we are completely different people. Maybe the most opposite person from myself I've ever met. No bad blood, we are just not into any of the same things.
FIL don't have too much in common but we get along and can talk. We both appreciate nature.

Yeah, I am good if I am around someone who has an interest in something I don't really have an interest in because I can at least learn something about whatever it is they are interested in, but one of the most awkward feelings for me is to be around someone who I have no shared interest with and they don't have anything they are really into. If that makes sense.
