Lost my 11 y.o. son to a brain stem glioblastoma in 1990....he lasted almost a year to the day of the date of diagnosis. Couldn’t remove because of position and the docs at St. Jude knew that a year was it almost immediately when they treated him the first time. Great hospital.and great staff...I don’t know how they do it...emotionally speaking. It was awful. 30 years on and still it’s one of the worst case diagnosis’s- sorry . Prayers for your relative and family

If they are in Jackson MS go see Dr Rey-Dios at UMMC. I work with tumor Docs in 7 states and if I had a glio that is who I would see.
