According to google, this is the battery you need:

Battery

However, pop open the fob before you purchase it so you can compare. I could not tell if Walmart has it, but it appears all BR Radio Shacks have it.

I drive a 08 Accord and have changed the battery in the past. You will need a very small philips head screwdriver to remove the one and only screw from the back of the key.

No, they gave the instructions. It's just a bunch of clicking and locking

I'm just lazy. Well I'm afraid it's gonna set off the alarm and I won't be able to turn it off

It won't set off the alarm, don't worry. Just make sure to do everything exactly as they say. My mom took 20 minutes trying to program a fob for her car, and the issue ended up being that she wasn't doing one of the steps within 5 seconds like the instructions said.

yeah i found instructions like this for tundras but, it didn't work. Just looked like an idiot clicking locks, opening doors and turning keys.

went to a locksmith and he reprogrammed 2 of them for $25 in about 5 minutes.

I got two brand new Maxima remotes, with batteries of Amazon Prime for $10. Took 3 minutes to sync up with car.

100000x better than older faded remotes

Just wondering if it is easier to change the battery myself or do I need to go to a dealer.

Just bring it to one of the men at work and let them do it, Sugartits.

I've fixed several things on my car (side view mirror, door handles, headlights, window motor, etc) by using youtube how-to videos. Make a note to yourself to check that out anytime you want to do something yourself.
