Want to hear about experiences. Thinking about renting one for a long weekend. Probably Class C.

Yep...a few different times. Always worked out very well for me, though they can be a little pricey at times. You always underestimate the amount of fuel you will use if you go any distance at all.
Also, plan to clean the frick out of it before you return it or they will hammer your arse on cleanup costs.

You mean like a limo for a wedding?

No, usually they look like a one ton truck with camper built onto it. There are some sites that rent by owner type thing like Rideshare.com.

never rented one of those...I thought you meant full sized winnie. I wouldn't hesitate to rent what you are talking about....better do it before it gets hot outside, though!

Rented one to park on campus for the Mississippi State game last season. Drove that bad boy up from New Orleans and back. Was a pretty awesome experience.

But seriously, this is where images and links come in handy.

Try RVShare.com and rent from an individual. I’ve done this several times and it works great. I rent fifth wheel campers and they deliver and set up at your campsite but they have all type RVs on the site

I'm old and suck at the interweb.
But here's a link
RVShare
Maybe a try at a picture
I guess I figured it out

Thanks for the info.
So is this for vacationing in a town? That's a pretty cool idea, especially in a city like Los Angeles where everything is spread out, and there are outdoor activities.
Oh, and I was kidding about the limo/wedding thing. Although a "party RV"...

Party RV sounds good, taking a long road trip, looking at options
