Same here. I saw it this weekend and looked it up online. Pretty sure it's a garter, or ribbon snake. Says they're good about eating bugs and other nuisance crap around the house.

Yea I'm cool with snakes around the house. I've had three as pets and know they're harmless.
My cat has been doing major damage outsude but mostly to the doves that feed on the ground underneath the feeders

Keep it around. Either species is really docile and a plus for your yard environment.

That's no Shrew it's a Mogwai. Rules for keeping a Mogwai keep him out of light. He hates bright light, especially sunlight. It will kill him. And keep him away from water. Don't get him wet. But the most important rule that you can never forget no matter how much he cries, or how much he begs. Never, never feed him after midnight.

Glass, I'm keeping it around. I admit I have an irrational aversion to snakes, but I won't mess with them. I just have to go into my pond and do a complete cleaning out from the fall, and I'm freaked out because I don't want to run into one because I'll scream so loud neighbors will think I'm a chick getting raped.
