If so, where did you stay and would you recommend it?

Also, any other tips or advice?

TIA

Nope. You'd be the first person ever to set foot there

Went back in April for honeymoon. Stayed four nights in Bora Bora and four nights in Moorea. Highly recommend

Plan on 2 days of travel for each day.

Bora Bora is known for their over the water huts. Not sure if you are the typical OT baller or not. Very pricey

Looked into going for out honeymoon. Too much for the flight and wasted days traveling.

Travel is not that bad. Take the midnight flight out of LAX and you'll be fine. If you go then definitely stay awhile. We stayed 8 nights simply because it was so far.

You should consider the Maldives. Went there on my honeymoon. It is a long expensive flight, but not as long and expensive as traveling to Bora Bora.

We stayed here: LINK

You have access to the big family island as well. Both were extremely quiet.

I've wanted to go for a long time. Maybe for our 15th or 20th.

Nothing to add of value but hope you enjoy it.

How is the flight to Maldives shorter than Bora Bora? Looking at my map they both look far as frick.

Everyone should go there at least once in your life.

I flew from NY when I went to the Maldives. The flight to the Maldives was about 19 hours with one stop in Dubai. Tickets were about $2,000 a person. If I went to Bora Bora, I would have to fly west. Kayak says outbound would be 29 hours and inbound would be 22 hours. Tickets would be $3,000 per person.
