Anyone else not like Monday holidays (comp to Fri ones)?

Ever since being entrenched in real adult life (demanding job + kids) I almost always have trouble making myself treat Sunday night like a Saturday night. Probably not a problem for you younger types.
Should be boozing hard and enjoying a stoge but just tired and sipping some vino on the sofa.

I'm young and this sounds awesome.

Mon holiday > Friday's b/c the Friday you're at work, the company is laid back and people are mentally checked out anyway. So you kind of have 1/2 day off. Secondly, there's no Monday feeling since you are off. Finally, the upcoming work week is only 4 days.

It's all about perception but the same things you cite can also apply to Friday holiday, like Thursday being more laid back and a short work week, but the one thing "there's no Monday feeling since you are off" is the problem for me anyway. Usually have trouble shaking the typical Sunday night feeling and "partying" for lack of a better term.

Last night camping with the family, kids are in their tents and the grown-ups are waiting for the shrooms to kick in. Monday holidays are the tits!!

Be sure to pick up all your cigarette butts.
Thank you.

Nice.
Cigarettes are the worst. Thanks for quitting.

Hell no, when I need to waste a few vacation days I always use them on Monday's. I get to treat Sunday night like another Saturday, stay up late, drink too much and then skip the shittiest day of the week.

No Lucas, I would not have thunk that you'd have a hard time hitting party mode on any given night. Or day.
Morning even.

I should probably play it tamer on Friday and even Thursday to help maximize Sunday.
But, yeah.

Thursday night partying when you are off on a Friday holiday is pretty much GOAT
I have to work tomorrow although I was going to do something tonight but my partner in crime got overly fricked up last night while I took it easy. He also works tomorrow.

I work tomorrow but my company trades it, along with several others (e.g. MLK), for paid holidays between Christmas Eve and New Years Day.

Middle-aged d-bags complaining about when they get a day off to honor fallen American soldiers is a problem though.
It's not about you. Memorial Day is a day to be grateful and love your country.
