re: Anyone else need to make new friends?

OP I went through something similar awhile back. I started venturing off on my own, doing things I wanted to do myself. Took day trips to Houston, Gulf Port. Went to the movies by myself, eat at restaurants I wanted to. Slowly a new group of friends emerged that live the same lifestyle. Just do you and everything will work out. Sounds like you're honestly trying to improve yourself.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I am a high school teacher and none of my friends are teachers, so they have never have off weekends, holidays, and summers. Even when they are off, they rather just sit at home, so I just started planning trips by myself and going to do stuff alone. I went to Omaha last summer alone to watch LSU in the CWS and I booked a cruise for next years spring break. I don't know how people can just sit at home and not go enjoy life in their 30s when they have nothing holding them back, no gf, or wife, or kids, etc.

Yeah, sometimes I go to movies by myself but concerts, conventions, zoos, or trips are weird and sad if you go by yourself. people pity you.Cant go party on a boat in cabo or go to bonaroo as a lone guy. Or maybe I just need a girlfriend.
Really wish I had a good group of guy friends from Kindergarten like some on here


Yeah, and the one dude that does things never invites me bc his GF doesn't like me.
