I haven't been to the museum in Chicago, but the one in San Diego is the largest in the US. There are full time operating layouts in all gauges--the HO layout is like 10,000 square feet!! The O Gauge is around 4000 sq ft.

It is truly something to see. There are a bunch of old retired guys that meet there every day and work on the layouts.

...and then there is the Museum in Sacremento!!!

Well we did, until...

One of our cats got electrocuted and set the tree skirt and the xmas tree on fire.
