I assume there are established blocks of people/companies who have been doing this for a living for years and have narrowed any good margin opportunity.
But I am still curious enough to attend one - shite it maybe all online now.

I knew someone who won a blind bid for a container (sea can) and it contained working 4 kegerators among other things.
Easily paid for itself.

There are generally registration requirements and then you have to put a deposit on account before you can bid. They make it enough of a pain in the arse that established companies that buy at every one are the only people who end up doing it. Also, they tend to put stuff into “lots” that cause individuals to shy away. One of an item might be cool to have but not ten of the same item.
