You grew up here (I assume.) it's old news to you. Other people are looking at it with fresh eyes and are fascinated.

Hell, Frogmore Plantation near Jonesville busses up tourists from New Orleans to watch the farming operations. That's about a 6 hour round trip, and the busses are always full. People from other places love our culture. Some future tourism director is going to look back on Mitc Landrieu and wonder WTF we were thinking for letting him get away with it.

I grew up here and would absolutely LOVE the 8 day cruise from Minneapolis to New Orleans. 22 days the reverse? Not so much. Let old people do that shite stopping everywhere.
