I actually tested negative for COVID. I normally wouldn't care, but I was curious because of how strange it is. Negative test.
Y’all up to date on your pertussis vaccine? Many times the protection from that vaccine as a kid wears off so you need a booster as an adult. It’s why pregnant women get that vaccine with each pregnancy (pertussis can kill a baby). Whopping cough won’t likely kill ya as an adult but I’ve heard it’s not fun.

Flu was bad here in Mobile, but has calmed down since Thanksgiving. As a school teacher, I can tell you the onset was brutal ad it was emptying my classrooms and some kids were out for two weeks.
I am 55 and have never contracted Covid or the flu in my life and I am a pureblood. I am staying on my Covid preventative regimen and it is working nicely.
Multivitamin, Zinc (50mg), Quercitin, Vitamin D3 (5,000 mu), and a baby aspirin. I have used Vitamin C in the past but I got tired of taking those horse tablets.
I just finished jury duty yesterday, so I will keep you posted.

Are the vaccinated shedding?

Yup, put me on my arse Saturday morning.
Really bad sore throat and bad body aches. Felt like cold shite for three days.
Sucks arse, still don't feel 100%.
Been pounding Mucinex.

Yea, it's been nasty.
Tested positive for Influenza Type A on Nov. 4th.
Had flu-like symptoms for about 2 weeks but still have a sinus infection and a cough.
Been taking Robitussin cough medicine for a month.

Still going around. Just
alot. Don't know yet if it's the flu or stomach bug. Find out in the morning. Went to celebration in the oaks Saturday night so could be from that. 1st time it's not from my kids daycare. And yes I was carrying and had a B.P. plate in the diaper bag and had the 2 other men in our group carrying.
Edit: Positive for flu type B

For those who are stupid like myself, please explain exactly what you mean.

Nope. I don’t ever get sick

Thought I had it last week. Terrible congestion, cough, and sore throat. Tested negative for flu, strep, and covid. Doctor said it was just allergies and sinuses. I didn't have fever so it makes some sense. Prescribed antibiotic, nose spray, and antihistamine. I'm finally feeling relief a week later, but it's not completely done and I'm done with the antibiotics. Interested to see how the next few days go. It seems to be moving around from my head to my nose to my throat to my chest and back and forth.

The wife and I have Christmas Party Covid right now. I feel like the dude from Metallica’s “One” video, but my doc said this isn’t nearly as bad as the current flu going around.
Hats off to anyone fighting and surviving that flu.
