That "Is Scotty your husband?" line in the lunch thread made me lose it.

My best course of action was to just shut up at that point. I mean...his parents were bringing up stuff that hurt their feelings when my husband was 18 years old.

I'm not too worried about it...no major holidays coming up anytime soon so I won't see them for a while

They have said similar stuff in the past. About how the want the family to do more stuff together. Whenever my husband and his sister do try to set things up to do stuff...his parents don't or cannot go. At some point you give up trying.

It sounds like a pattern with them from what you've said before.

Parents do this shite and then they wonder why their kids don't want to be around them all the time. Vicious cycle.

I'm just glad my parents are easy going about holidays.

I mean...one of the Christmas things we did last year that his parents were invited to was this Christmas train thing for my nephew. They didn't want to go cause they said it was too cold outside and lines would be too long. Meanwhile...my mom BROKE HER ARM the day before and was there with us with her splinted arm in a sling just happy to make new Christmas traditions with us and not complaining one bit about her arm. I sooo wanted to let my mother in law know that not even a broken arm stopped my mom from going.

Well you already know how I feel about his dad for being a selfish a-hole during the Final Four.

Meh, he survived cancer and going to the Final Four has always been a bucket list item for him since my husband was a child. I'm not mad about that. My husband should have been more clear when he asked his dad about going.

has there ever been a bigger 'no shite' posted on this site ever.

I think even Pete post about his huge pecker and dimes he smashed as just a complete running joke. Not even Kige takes that shite serious.

Your mom in law sounds like she has issues as most families do. My wife's parents got divorced and for years it was torture for the holidays for the kids and all the bullshite involved.

About 10 years ago I stopped that shite and said screw going visit BR where I didn't want to go and drag my kids out to deal with it. If they want to see us they better drive up to MS. Grown ups acting like children. Screw that nonsense.

Remember a couple years ago when he was all sloppy drunk and said he walked in on the wife getting nailed by a dude at the fishing camp?

sounds like every other female that walks this planet... I don't get why it's a surprise,

Females are fricking crazy. Every last one of them. And a lot of the times they will be pointing out how everyone else in the room is fricked in the head when the entire time its fricking them that is throwed like a screw tape.
