Anybody been to Barbados?

Stayed for 10 nights a few years ago. Would definitely go back. In the capital it's just like driving around any other city. Driving around the island is when it's gets crazy. One and a half lane or just 1 lane roads going through the little villages keeps you on your toes. Lots of people walking in street and trucks will run your arse over if you are in their way or won't move. We rented a car for a week and drove around the entire country with no problems, just getting around without GPS was a little hassle. As far as being safe that was not an issue either. Went walking into town at night and even got on public vans and buses to get around without any hassle. They welcome tourists because that is how they get a lot of their money. It's overall a pretty poor country. But really good food and plenty to keep busy. They love to party and drink. Went on a catamaran cruise/tour and everyone was drunk before arriving at first stop to snorkel.

Over 40 years ago. Great rum on the beach. Our winter time is best time to go. That is when all the babes show up from up north.
