It would be interesting to hear the real WHOLE story.
Not hard to grow when you start out small. (I know, TWSS.) But really, do you really think the public support is that great. A place like that isn't gonna make it with support only from a couple of small towns in the vicinity.

the lawsuit grows daily. And so does public support.

I know people come from ALL OVER to SPAR in Sulphur.
Sulphur is much bigger than Iowa but if you figured on people from Lake Charles to Jennings and Oakdale to Grand Lake may frequent this water park if it has the same amenities and price point as SPAR. Maybe it would work.
I live in Lacassine but I don't have much knowledge about what is going on with this place.
I have seen quite a bit of progress in the last year when it had almost none for several years.
I heard it was supposed to open next spring as well.

I can tell you this much, I'm kinda repeating the public knowledge as well but some of what your alluding to is not factual in the way you describe.
I'm friends with owner, I'm from JD parish. I've dealt with the permit, inspectors, health dept, etc for 30 yrs (on and off)
I'm reasonably dialed in to some higher LA govt guys (who isnt, lol)
By "cutting corners", I think you should say found some workarounds that kept the parish from fricking his brains out, then yes...he did do that.
I see both sides...but the state has done some gdamn unethical, unAmerican, rights violations...and I dont think theres a doubt on that. Check in it

When I say public support...I mean more of an anti gcmnt stance because its public knowledge what they are doing to him

You think anyone with any knowledge of this place would want to go to there? I guess if you have a death wish.

hell, even if he COULD get water to it, the chances of it being shut down for one violation or another would be at or near 100% within 6 months.
He does have water to it.
Sorry if already mentioned.

A few basic rules when it comes to constructing a Water Park.
1) Have a stable supply of clean, cheap, fresh water.
2) Build the water park close to people.
3) Time your "grand opening" withing a decade of the project completion date.
