Any plumbers here that service beach front homes? I've always wondered how sand in pipes

is handled. How often do those home owners need to get someone out to clear out all the sand that has to built up in the plumbing? Seems like a nightmare.
Every time I vacation at one I'm blown away at how much sand is tracked into those places even after rinsing off thoroughly at the rinse stations.
How do you do it too? Jet blast it out? Roto-rooter it out?

We've never had an issue with it. Way more problems with random cords going missing from the electronics and people rearranging furniture.

Not a plumber, but this does happen, especially in p-traps, because soap scum and hair stick to it. Snaking and water jetting are both options to clear it out.
