Ive been going through the motions. Haven't squatted more than 225 in a couple of months due to lower back issues. My legs are looking small AF.
Eta: just saw the squatober thread on health and fitness board. Helllll no I'm not a 5x per week squatter.

There's a health and fitness board?

I didn’t lift consistency between mid-July until Oct 1 due to a lot of disruptions.
My strength was down big time, so my training max reference point for squat was very low. I’ve been basing all the percentages off a measly 255lb single rep max.
You think it’s impossible to squat 5 days a week (for a month, not forever) but the programming is excellent and knows how to make it manageable.
Many days you are not going above even 70%.
I think there is a reason this program has spread so much over the years, it really truly is something that can change people’s lives. It sounds stupid but it seems to be the case.

I haven’t gone over 315 since turning 40, but knock out 3-4 sets of 10 every week. No reason to go heavier for me at this point.
Back in the day it was nothing to pump up 405 or 465. I have great form but stopped while I was ahead. It’s all about maintaining a lean, fit body over 40.

Wanted to but recurring elbow tendonitis kept me off the board this year. Still doing squats and leg presses but can't follow the full program.

If so you wouldn't need a gimmick to squat
