Never watched Today show, never read US magazine, in fact I've not watched any local TV news channel since Katrina. But as I said before MSN.com does flash all kinds of crazy stories that I don't feel like clicking on, but I launch from there, like going to Tiger Droppings etc. So give me some suggestions of what you think would be some good homepages?

Cable news (the websites) is shite but I never see the royals unless it's something pretty big.
WSJ is a great starting place but you need a subscription. Axios is free.

Stop reading People Magazine and TMZ. Also, social media newsfeeds are based on algorithms, which factor in your interests, so....
Ask your husband where he gets his news. Might be less royal- centric.
I rarely see anything about them. That said, anything that involves a Kate Middleton upskirt or tight jeans, I'm all for.
