Worth it? Thinking about taking the leap.

It definitely feels more productive rather than potentially just moving food/plague around.

It definitely takes some getting used to though.

Pro tip though: use warm/hot water in the reservoir.

You use one of those big-arse contraptions or the cordless, portable variety?

Use hot water and listening in the reservoir for a clean feeling! Cha-ching!

I’ve thought about that, but I methodically direct the jet between each tooth. Would waste a lot of listerine. Prob would have to buy a new jug every week

Which reminds me of another difference (which might be unique to how I do it):

Typically when flossing, you are looking at the mirror.

With a water pick, I’m facing downward with an open mouth over the sink to allow the water to fall.

It’s a mess imo to do it upright.

I use one. You still have to floss. Flossing is more mechanical and removes plaque/tartar buildup that you can’t remove with water. The water pick can keep food and bacteria out of places you can’t reach with floss.

It's called a bidet and yes I've been using one to clean my pearly whites and my chocolate starfish ever since the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020.

I never cared for them myself. I use those little green Plaquers dental floss holder things they sell everywhere in like the 100packs. They're all a little different so if you don't like one brand try a different one to see. Can't stand to use floss around my fingers though. I'd rather just not floss than do that.

Pffft.

You just need to up the pressure then.

I’ve gotten bleeding gums from the water pick alone.

This is correct. You need to use both.

I use the single use floss picks and then a cordless waterpik. The combination is very nice. 10/10 would recommend.

For those of you who use the cordless water picks, is the pressure enough to get the job done? Some people were calling them disappointing compared to the big counter-top ones.
