It's coming to Elberton Ga. Not sure to what company yet. The girl posting has a husband in the countertop business. But I think she works for a supplier of slabs for countertops. That is who I think she is asking on behalf of...I have asked her.

I really dont want to put my actual email addy on here. Is there another way to get it to you? Look...I have no stake in this, I have nothing to gain. But folks in my town are constantly looking for freight hauls from La. to Elberton. Apparently, it is an issue. Maybe its cause they arent wiling come off the hip for it. I have no idea.

no hijack intended...just a trucker/broker rant...those fricks will tell you anything to get the load... it's taken some douche over 4 days to get from NE Ohio to S. Florida when it was quoted at two. This outfit will no longer be part of our rotation of quote request.

Sorry again...continue with the LA to GA quest

Forget the 3PL companies. That is just a middleman. Contact one of the larger LTL carriers: SAIA, Southeastern Freightlines, Fedex freight. Back haul lanes are dirt cheap since trailers are going back up north empty. We ship 24,000 lbs from Baton Rouge to Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Missouri and others for $350-$650. 3PL can't touch that. Basically just paying for the Freightlines fuel. It cost more to ship 2 pallets than it does for 10 pallets simply because anything over 4,000 lbs qualifies for the volume quote (spot pricing).

We utilize those same LTL carriers and we get a discount with them making it cheaper then just a normal joe calling for service. Plus we send out the bid and get all their rates sent to us at once with a click of the mouse. 3PL companies make it less of a headache. We are not some small 3PL business either

I believe anything over 20k lbs would be considered truckload and not LTL which is 20k or less

How can I get in touch with you? We have fleets running loads out of Port of New Orleans as well as Mobile.
