Was curious of any opinions of Hillsdale Lake/Reservoir vs Clinton Lake.

Clinton Lake
That's too close to Arkansas for me to dare to go there.

Clinton is a bit "wild" and you better know it well as there is a ton of stumps just below the water line in many areas.

Hmm. What about around the lake? Which is "classier" or whatever or are they interchangeable?

Not a big boat guy but I am near these lakes. Hillsdale is mainly kc suburbians, clean and mild. Clinton will be much more redneck and less commercial like if that makes sense.

If I had to make wild generalizations, I would say Hillsdale is for recreation and relaxation and Clinton is for fishing but I could be way off of that. I grew up near Clinton and currently live near Hillsdale.

I forgot to add that people around here go to several different lakes with their boats. All the ones I know of:
Smithville
Hillsdale
Clinton
Lake of the Ozarks
Stockton
Table rock

I knew a couple guys that loved to windsurf Clinton. My powerboat friends thought Perry was a lot nicer. I've spent a few days on either, I think I would go for Perry.

No experience on Hillsdale.

I knew all the real OT Baller types partied at Table Rock.
