I don't know what the laws are regarding recording in your state, but you need to start recording her antics of permissible and definitely bring in the cops. They're not going to be able to do anything, but you need proof of her antics incase of future serious issues. If you don't start garnering some form of proof, it's your word vs hers in court, which will get you nowhere.

Definitely sounds like something I would do! I would passively harass that bitch every single day - but, she would have no idea it was me. Then, I would make sure I cut my grass early in the morning and weadeat that fence line a lot!

My suggestion is to work with the authorities asap to deal with this and cease all direct contact and interaction with the neighbor altogether. If you can, as others have said, record her attempts to confront you and document what you've mentioned here.
Also, in working with the authorities, if possible try to initially contact someone in a department you are already familiar/friendly with or maybe someone who is perhaps familiar with a friend of yours. I'm not sure if that's possible these days, but in my experience many many years ago this was highly successful in my family dealing with a ridiculous neighbor who went ballistic anytime us kids walked/rode our bikes past their house on the sidewalk. It kept escalating to the point that our parents got concerned since their attempts to remedy the situation themselves directly were ineffective. Luckily my dad was a good buddy with a very imposing jefferson parish sheriff's deputy who put a stop to all of that nonsense. To this day they still live next door but haven't spoken in decades.

He needs to set up a lawn chair in his front yard facing her house right on his side of the property line. Every evening he needs to sit in that chair not doing anything but watching her house. When she confronts him he needs to just ignore her and keep watching her house. She will lose her fricking mind.

Is it, though? Yes...the poor girl would certainly feel betrayed and hurt. But if there has EVER been a case of dodging a fricking bullet, this is one of them! The girl has NO CLUE how lucky she was that she didn't end up under this crazy bitch's wing permanently.

I have shunned 2 neighbors for stickin their nose in my business [ cuz they're stupid commies and don't even know it ] ever hear the expression, you can't argue with a drunk? well you can't argue with commies and morons either. for me, I just pay them no mind, no gettin high blood pressure and getting all ticked off, forget it....I'm not wastin my time like that.
I would likely not talk to her, but you got a family...and so would make it quite awkward...the women folk like getting along, even if it's phoney baloney than ignoring others like me.
If I think of somethin' besides keeping a composition book handy to jot incidents down along with taking incognito pix/video....I'll pass it on
