I've just never wanted to work for a larger brokerage. But I knew a couple of people that worked there about 10 years ago that said that there was a "culty" vibe. It may be different now, though.

Not in brokerage but I work in bulk freight logistics for a large retailer. I bet we’re probably one of your top 5 volume customers. I assume maybe you’re either with Tennessee Steel Haulers or Covenant? I don’t think CVEN has assets but I could be wrong.
Flatbed and dry van market is a nightmare right now. I don’t blame you for looking elsewhere. Probably getting yelled at left and right for stuff that’s beyond your control.

Where do you live? I’ve been in the industry for 20 years and can help you make choices. I’d be happy to talk with you if that will help.

You’re in a great town to get in to the brokerage game. Email me and we’ll set up some time to chat.

If you're in Chattanooga, steer clear of Tranco Logistics
Those morons need to rebrand like yesterday.

I dabbled in flatbed brokerage and noticed a downward trend in it. I couldn’t win any bids because nobody wants to pay decent for a load. That made it not worth the frustration.
However, I currently work in auto hauling and our brokerage department is doing really well. Even with the semiconductor shortage we faced in 2020, our brokerage department had a record month last month.
