Christmas Eve, checking in.
I didn't have to cope. My parents loved me so they didn't try to lump in Christmas and my birthday. Two separate events on back-to-back days.
Interestingly, my cousin was also born on Christmas Eve and they let him decide what day of the year he wants to do his birthday celebration.

Mother in laws birthday is 12/25. She gets 2 gifts. Her anniversary is 12/27.
