Not sure where you are located. You can get half a cow or whole. North of BR

With FedEx I almost always get a "package delivered" email. Then I check everywhere outside and can't find it, and 20 minutes later the truck comes and drops it off. It's obvious they're cutting corners bigly

I often get the delivered notification and not the actual delivery until the next day. That's UPS' specialty.

This is it exactly. Walmart close to me stocks grass fed and at a good price but it will taste great one time and the next the dog won't touch it.

Interesting, I haven't had any taste bad from Walmart but I do pass up some steaks on the shelf that look weird.

They don't have enough stock though. I will go there in person and they might have 5-6 steaks total and some ground beef. I'll buy all the acceptable-looking steaks they have and it's still not near enough for us

Thanks but they finish on grain for 6 months.

We haven't tried the steaks from Walmart in a year so maybe we'll have to give them a try again.

I've even seen the "waygu" there. Have you ever tried it? I'm assuming it's Australian.

ETA yeah that's the other problem. They will only have a couple so you can't pick out the best, it's take it or leave it.

I've only seen the ground wagyu there, I seem to recall my wife buying a pound of it but don't recall ever eating it But I haven't bought any myself because it doesn't appear to be grass-fed/grass-finished

We've moved away from processed crap and generally try to eat quality foods. We are somewhere around keto to ketovore. The cost isn't out of line because we don't buy all of the crap and you stay satiated and don't eat out or snack all of the time. The cost effectiveness was a pleasant surprise since we were just looking to be healthy.

Agreed completely and well put. This is also how my wife and I eat. We spare no expense on quality of meat, dairy, eggs, etc., but it's all we eat, and we only eat out when traveling. We cut out pretty much everything that isn't on the perimeter of the grocery store. It isn't that expensive at all.

We've been doing this since the start of the COVID and we've lost so much weight and feel so much better

I used to get HomeChef or HelloFresh. Had a lot of issues with the same thing, it would arrive a day or two late and everything was room temp and had to be thrown. I stopped getting food deliveries at that point, even though they were refunding me. I couldn’t rely on them to deliver their product
