No, it doesn't. We already know it wasn't anything bad enough to warrant them approaching him weapons drawn, so their reactions in the video are indefensible.
So there was no situation where they had a right to ask for his identification?

but the supervisor and his arrest for resisting is complete bull shite.
I already agreed with that from the beginning

I did and it didn’t explain anything
I don’t believe two sheriffs units just happen to pull over to check a guy walking. I think we don’t know the whole story.
I would be willing to bet he just came from a situation where the police were called. The cop briefly says “I’m investigating…” before he cuts her off.
we are missing context like all these videos
From the video I watched, the man got up early that morning and walked to the courthouse for jury duty. Afterward, he was walking home. As he is legally blind, he was carrying a collapsible walking stick in his back pocket. Enter police bitch, who starts hassling him. Enter police dick, who supports hassling police bitch. Civil rights violations ensue.

Remember George Floyd?
We had all the evidence. It was right there in the video!
Oh wait…
Cops were responding to a call
They tried to put him in the back of the car first
There were half eaten pills in the back of the cop car
He had fentanyl and meth in his system
He overdosed a few months prior in the exact same situation
Etc.
Don’t tell me you know all the facts a-hole
And you might remember that he was rightly convicted of murder you moron

They can ask but he isn't required to comply

In the recorded incident, no. You're now fishing for some scenario that didn't happen.

Totally agree if that’s all that happened. I don’t know why that’s such a triggering statement.
Oh wait. I do know why that’s a triggering statement. Because if you don’t immediately condemn the cops for being authoritarians drunk on power then you support tyranny and trampling of our constitutional rights.
Give me a break.

Actually I don’t remember that
I remember a societal mob drunk on a racial narrative that George Floyd was some sort of hero.

“Most of these videos always leave out some context”
My first post asked what happened before the video. I’ll own that.

I would definitely try to get away from my early attitude in this thread if I were you too. You aren't gaslighting me though.

Sure buddy.
Did George eat a bunch of pills and OD during an arrest a few months prior?
Chauvin wanted to murder him so bad he tries to put him in the car first and even offered to roll the windows down for him.
Then he wanted to murder him so bad he did it right in front of a crowd with cameras on him.
Keep drinking that delicious kool aid Powerbottom

You're really going all in on embarrassing yourself in this thread

I feel like, if anything, the right should be more against police officers abusing their authority and thereby overreaching the power of government.
"Stop and frisk" was a prominent means to reduce gang violence on the 90s... largely okay with Republicans back then. Ironic that legal precedents were probably from gang bangers' trials. News flash... people and parties can evolve. (They can also "D"evolve)
That said: I would assume that police are taught this to explicitly deal with lawsuits related to scammers purposely putting themselves in line to deal with illegal search and seizure (often carrying a long gun to attract police attention and generate lawsuits). My former coworker volunteered for a few hours to keep his LEO credentials up to date and even he had training specifically for this.
These cops are morons and should have all LEO credentials stripped do they can't be cops in another precinct after they are fired.

You think I give a frick what you think?
Go ahead and shoot your shot and tell me how you know beyond a reasonable doubt that George Floyd was murdered. Chauvin is an idiot who should not be a cop. Did he murdered George? I don’t know, I have serious doubts that he did.
