It is all over the news that the Biden campaign is into this anti cash bail crusade just like the group in New Orleans that is doing the same thing.

quote:

The staffers posted on Twitter that they contributed money to a group called the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which opposes the practice of making people who are arrested pay money to avoid pre-trial imprisonment, Reuters reported. Biden himself opposes cash bail, comparing it to a “modern day debtors prison,” campaign spokesman Andrew Bates told Reuters.

So my question is this: Should we expect them to use their funding (celebrities and donors have given them $20 million) to bail out Officer Chauvin? Their premise is that no one should be detained pre-trial. That would seem to include him. His bail is $500,000.

If they are true to their stated cause, it would be a hell of a symbolic move to post his bail.

Chauvin is better off in jail right now. I think there’s a really good chance he and his family would be killed if he waited his trial from his own home.

I can’t believe he is still in the country. If I had been him, and knew what was coming, I would’ve hauled arse.
