Sure, it's your money, I just wanted to understand. Me thinks it's more for inflated ego and attempted clout, but I digress.

For young people wearing gaudy Rolex’s, yes. For most it’s more along the lines of people who are into cars, boats, other mechanical things have a general interest in mechanical things…of which a watch is one. Fascinating tools when you consider what goes into them and they look cool.

No that would be all the people on here living in the suburbs who drive F150/F250’s that they don’t need but have anyway when a Prius or Camry gets them to Publix just the same. This logic can be applied to anything.

No, you don't.

You are simply looking to find support for a conclusion you have already made.

Look at some Longines

My introduction to Longines was The Longines Symphonette.

That was when I was little. A few years later I realized there was once a connction between the LS and the watch maker.

Those are beautiful.

What is the obsession with watches? I really want to understand.

I don't like wearing jewelry except for my wedding band and watch.

You may not know that a Tissot PRS costs (or used to) the same amount as a PS5. A $500 watch? Ok for me. That's about my limit, and I only want one, not 15 to match every color of shirt I own.

shite, the Apple watch costs nearly as much. I'm not a watch geek like my friend in Dallas, but it's pretty simple. Wear a watch that makes you feel good. Your wife/GF drops more on manicures in a year than you would on a $500 watch.

This is not the four and five figure watch threads I don't bother to visit, which is where I suspect you think you are.
