Another math thread: "In dog beers I've only had one" doesn't make sense

"In dog beers I've only had one" is a saying found all over. Shirts, bottle openers, posters, etc. Here's a link to what Google pulls up when the saying is searched for LINK.
I understand what it is trying to imply, but the saying doesn't make mathematical sense.
The representation they are going for is 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years.
But, write that a different way, 7 dog years is equal to one human year. Then you will see that 1 dog year is 1/7 of a human year.
What this means is 1 dog beer is equal to 1/7 of a human beer. So like 1.7 oz in a 12 oz beer, or 2.28 oz in a 16 oz pint.
Let's rewrite this saying to make more sense...

Umm, that's the point.
If you've had 7 beers, you can excuse it away by saying you've only had one dog beer.

No. You had 49 dog beers.

Yes, but if you give me a human dollar, I'll be 7 dog dollars richer!

I thinks its intentionally wrong because people who have had 7 beers are notoriously bad at math

dog beers to human beers: iiiiiii = I
one dog beer = i
one dog beer = i

If someone gave their dog their beer and the dog drinks it all, it would be = to that dog having 7 beers?

What? You're just making up your own fractions/ratios.
ETA - Misread your two quotes. Point is, the conversion is you take however old the dog is in conventional years, and multiply it by 7 to get the human equivalent.
Take however old you are as a human and divide by 7 to get a dog equivalent.
Take however many beers you've drank and divide by 7 to get a dog equivalent.

We got this.
This thread is already following math thread conventions.

The whole point of the 7 thing is they want pet years to = human life span.
So, a pet that lives for 10 human years should be 70 years old in pet years to be more equal to our lives.

It only makes sense if it's your dog.

No, not wrong. A 7 year old dog (using the calendar year that we all know) is roughly equivalent to a 49 year old human developmentally. Ergo, 7 human beers is roughly equivalent to 1 dog beer.
