My Grandfather was in the mine. He worked for Boyce Machinery and was down there working on some of their heavy equipment. There were around 60 folks down in the mine and they all made it out safely.

I remember my grandfather telling me about the small elevator and having to wait to get out of the flooding mine.

Not much ma nature here. The man made dome was drilled into by man made drill looking for oil.
