Do you think a grocery store would dedicate an entire aisle of freezer space to something that people don’t buy?

People buy a lot of ice cream.

All those gallons of ice cream at the grocery store have been there for years. No one buys it.

Grocery stores just think it looks good.

Really scary. My go to site now for reverse search. Really weeds some stuff out.

I think it was more of a subtle “I’m not fatty” brag.

There are entire aisles of all kinds of random stuff I don't buy but that I know others buy because the eat it at work, school, etc. Ice cream is the one that always surprises me how many people regularly get it when the topic comes up because I never see people eating it and I never eat it.

I actually thought all brands were open without a safety seal like Blue Bell until this licking thing.

I haven’t bought ice cream in years either, but the “people actually buy ice cream?” line was so dumb to me. Worded badly at least.

I was questioning the regularity.. like it being a weekly item or whatever. Milk, bread, sandwich shite, eggs.. if someone was fricking with that or there was a listeria scare, I'd totally expect most people to be going apeshit because most people buy those.

When the listeria thing happened with Blue Bell and it was everywhere, I was surprised so many people bought BB every week. Its not like you can pack a container of ice cream in your lunch bag or something, so it seems like a rare treat type of thing for birthdays or holidays.

Some of us are married and aren't worried about staying in shape for their slam piece.

We need ice cream.

I got you. The first read through made me laugh.

Just different mindsets. I just assume everything gets sold regularly if there’s a ton of it at the store.

Definitely. I actually find learning about people's home habits - especially groceries - oddly interesting. Especially since a lot of it is based on how we were raised. A lot of the grocery habits my parents had and SO's parents had, we have as well without realizing it.

Then you kinda create your own too. I don't know, I'm fricking weird ok

My only grocery habits are loving to go to the grocery store. I’ll never order ahead or get them delivered, I fricking love going to the grocery store.
