You need to find a way how you can give zero fricks
It's really that simple
Whoever is more invested has the least leverage. You need outcome independence. Where you give no fricks either way. The best way to have outcome independence is to stop giving a frick and cast your net wide. You are a lot less vested in an outcome when you have options.
Went to my cousins wedding tonight. Got some indicators of interest. So I approached. Tried to escalate a bit. Got gently turned down because their boyfriends were there. Gave no fricks because I have outcome independence. It's internalized. The more you approach and the more you get turned down the easier it becomes. If it wasn't my cousins wedding I would have tried to escalate even after the boyfriend info was let out but I didn't want to risk any altercations to ruin the night as I know these 2 bridesmaids were into me. But the point is that I cast my net wide. When things don't work out with one girl i give no fricks and move onto the next one. Numbers game. It's like job applications. You'll have a greater chance of success sending out 100 resumes than 2.
