It's sad but fema isn't insurance...it's just a small net that helps defray some costs. If you lost it all fema isn't there to make you anywhere near whole.

But flood insurance is FEMA, and they will make you whole.

I do not. I live in a very low risk area. That was one of the metrics I considered when buying my house.

Believe it or not, there are a ton of people affected by this that live In a low risk zone..... There are people that haven't had water in over 100 years even coming close to their homes.... But I myself would have flood insurance anyway... Just because of geography...

I find the term "low risk" to be very doubtful.
