Because it is usually dominated with ppl who think life has to be lived a certain way, and everything is not acceptable.
They look down on you now because of your incident, but don't understand it made you stronger and a better person. I feel the same with my drug addiction, it made me a stronger and better person. I'm proud of the perspective that was gained from it.
