They were actually originally from Scotland. It's a Scottish last name.

There were lots of Scottish in Ireland back in the day. You should look into scotlandspeople.gov.UK. they have an amazing website for researching Scottish genealogy.
My wife's family that came from Scotland had a lot of back and forth from Ireland. Scots-Irish was a thing back then. The big difference between them and the native Irish was usually religion. Most Scots tended to be Presbyterian, and the Irish Catholic.

So what am I doing wrong? I just put in the names of like 8 different family members and got nothing?

Did you put in birthdays, birthplace, death date, place of death, marriage, etc for all of them?
You have to go back generations to get results, I.E. parents grandparents, great grandparents.
If theres still nothing theres a search function that searches all records for a given pwrson. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to work it's magic.

I was searching like one individual at a time and yea I put in birthdays, first middle last name, place they lived etc..
