I see your FIFY

quote:

Amazon’s U.S. work force has more than tripled since 2018 to almost 1.2 million. But Amazon’s automation team expects the company can avoid hiring more than 160,000 people in the United States it would otherwise need by 2027. That would save about 30 cents (to put in the pockets of a few people at the very top)on each item that Amazon picks, packs and delivers to customers.

Crony capitalism allows a few companies to grow too big to fail, those companies make enough money to start replacing humans with robotics and AI, those former employees now need UBI to live.

What could go wrong with tens of millions of humans completely dependent on a government, which is, in turn, beholden to the demands of a corporate caste?

But I digress, let me just go back to being a dumb commie.

Interesting, as the outsourcing of manufacturing has turned this country into a service-based economy that is all about variety of choice, except in a few critical areas.

Tech and based. Some people arent fit for the modern economy and got left behind. More good jobs than ever before.

You cant plan a society around those people.

certain this model will continue to slowly phase humans out of it, replacing them with robots. That's where we're headed.

This video is 2 years old. . I’m not sure how many of these places there are now or if the beta test was successful.

No, but you have to figure out something to do with them.

This isn't Nazi Germany. You can't just march them into gas chambers.
