Happy Gilmore did ruin golf with his trashy fans and low brow antics. They should have thrown Happy out of golf.

That would be a typical Happy response.

I simply placed it in the woods, because its made of wood, and I wanted it to be with its family

Shooter McGavin was wrong.

Grizzly Adams did have a beard.

But the thing is. Happy wasn't even worried about golf. He just wanted to play hockey, however; he had to earn money to get his grandmother's house back so he was just temporary to the game of golf.

Before Tiger's wife ruined his life he was a thousand times better than any other golfer. Dude could spend Saturday night smashing models and porn stars and on Sunday Tiger would show up and take the green jacket. What a hero.

I supported Shooter then as I do now. He was simply a misunderstood man who was trying to maintain the integrity of the sport.

The problem was that his grandmother was very irresponsible. She neglected her financial responsibilities and thought that the bank should give her a break because she was an old lady. She put Happy in a tough spot.

The truth is that none of that was Shooter's problem. I'm not saying he handled everything as well as he should have. I'm just saying that he never should have had to deal with it in the first place.

Happy should have let Grandma lose the house. It would have taught her a valuable lesson.
