I'm on ATT with 2 iPhones 15 Gb shared data. $123 per month and we aren't on the next plan and no contract.

I use at&t prepay, which is the same thing as straight talk. When I called to cancel to go to straight talk they put me on prepay at $40/mo and unlimited everything and that's on 3 phones with no issues at all. No price increases, no service issue, etc.
As far as it being trashy....myself, my brother and my BIL are all on the same plan and all earn well into the 6 figures. Pissing money because you have some distorted view of what "cool" is pretty damn trashy.

In theory that may be true. But when it comes to QoS you can be sure that straight talk traffic won't get the priority that AT&T customers get.
And that's exactly as it should be.
Why should ghetto service providers like Straight Talk have the same quality as people who pay AT&T for their services.

$35+ tax per month unlimited talk text and web. Family mobile, uses T mobile towers. Decent customer service, very few issues.

Buy used or refurb phones and get a sim card from a 3rd party carrier using the exact same cell network for 1/2 as much.

AT&T--2 lines, unlimited talk and text--3GB data. $80 per month pre taxes and stuff. That is without my 17% discount. Both of my phones are owned so pay $25 each instead of 40.

On the phone that you use just for talking, you should check out trac phones or other similar companies. I used to pay $86 a month with verizon, then switched to trac phone and I only pay $30 every two months. 
I don't use it for data so it was the obvious choice for me.
If not that, then Straight talk is pretty good I've heard.
