Alternatives to staying in baytowne

Just found out we can go to destin in 2 weeks on my husbands AMEX because of his work schedule. He wants to bring me and kids along. We wanted to stay in Baytowne but I am discovering it is totally booked (searched 1-2 bedrooms). I wanted something like that since he will have the car and I will have the kids (5 and 2) and being able to walk to pool and restaurants and shopping and park, etc would be ideal.
Is there anything else like that close to destin, preferably on the west side of sandestin?
If not, any great condos with an excellent pool area for kids? I love caribe, but all I can find is 3 bedroom, and we really only need 1 bedroom.

We are at jetty east right now. We always stay here. Good pool, nice beach, accessible to all of Destin

Holiday beach resort has a normal pool, but it's right across from big kahuna waterpark

Look on the beach side of the resort or in miramar beach along scenic 98. Right next door to Sandestin resort.

There's a shuttle that runs all over the resort.

After inquiring with over 20 condos, I have found 1 within sandestin that is available for the dates we need.
