Alopecia Barbae - Anyone deal with this?

Hello O-T Lounge, I am looking for advice or personal stories on this matter. I have researched this, but haven't contacted my doctor as of yet.
I have always been one of those guys that have no issue with facial hair growth, but I noticed a few months ago a smooth patch under my beard. I grew my beard out for a year after the Military, and it was very long, but took care of it. Anyways one day I went to my barber, and had him trim my beard down. After he did this I saw the bald patches, and found out it is a form of Alopecia.
Like I said my facial hair grows fast, but with this there is noticeable patches. I'm looking for any advice or home remedies. When googling this I found it is more common than you'd think.
Again any advice is welcome I shave everyday to try to minimize it, but in my opinion it still looks horrible, and honestly affects my personal confidence when I'm out and about. Again thank you for any advice or tips you might have heard or dealt with.

smear some dog shite on there. it will fill in the bald spot and then work like fertilizer to make it grow thicker

Is it only on your chin? Just shave, beards are for try-hards.

Thanks for your negative comments. I hope if one day you need advice someone helps you the same way.
I know this is the O-T, but was hoping advice like this wouldn't happen.

I thought this was a new politically correct Barbie.

Do you understand how to shave properly? If you shave all the hair off your face how can you still see patches of hair?

Have you told your friends and family you're gay yet?

I have about a 2 inch spot on the left side of my chin, and 2 quarter sized spots on the bottom of my chin on both sides.
My wisdom teeth have came in (which dental issues can cause this), but when I talked to my oral surgeon yesterday he said he's never personally seen it.
It is common from stress which I wouldn't say I've had anything big happen in life.

Yes I know how to shave properly, and no I'm not a gay. I'm sure if you had this you'd be wanting to fix it.

Is it a side effect from the hormone therapy in an effort to transition?

A few years ago I had two spots on my face and one on my head where hair stopped growing and was completely bald. I got injections once a month for 3-4 months and the hair started growing again.

I have seen that cortisone shots in the area can help. I called my doctor, and waiting to see the doctor.
I also read that Aloe, and essential oils can help too.
But thank you for the sincere reply, and I'm glad that worked out for you.

Here is my serious answer since you got your feelings hurt.
Grow your beard out longer, use a good beard oil and beard balm. Get a boars hair brush and train the hair to cover those areas up if it makes you that insecure that you have a bald spot on your face. There are no products that I am aware of that will make your facial hair grow quicker than it already does or thicker.

Feelings aren't hurt, but are you really that big of a dick that when someone asks for advice you'd tell them to rub dog shite on their problem?
I know it's a message board, but come on. You wouldn't say that if you had it.
It's completely smooth. I shave and already have a shadow. I used beard butter & oils while I had it. I'm a very clean person this isn't a hygiene issue.
Anyways thanks for your sincere reply. I can take criticism, but would hope for genuine advice.

What if the problem was not enough dog shite rubbed on things?

I have a bald spot in my beard had since I have grown it, you know what my father and brother would tell me. Rub some dog shite on it and maybe it will grow in faster. It is facial hair, not a terminal illness.

I have nothing to offer regarding your issue but wanted to encourage you as a fellow gentleman.

I get your point, and I realize it's not life threatening. It was covered fine when I had my beard, but I am glad I found it. I just grow back my facial hair fast and it's noticeable patches that are completely smooth.
