WTH man? You trying to kill him? Two and a half hour walk by the end of week one. Five hours a day by week two?

He'll be running super marathons if he sticks with my plan. Don't get in the way of greatness.

12 to 15 beers per setting, sometimes more, at least 5 times a week. I couldn't drink just a couple, all of it had to be gone before I would quit.

What about those other 2 days? Did you drink every day, all day? Any hard liquor?

You married? Kids? Job? How old are you?

Was never alcohol for me, was benzodiazepines that I started taking after similar to you.

If you can beat the withdrawls, you can beat the cravings.

I'd drink oduls and go heavy on CBD in hopes to have a placebo effect

If you’re 3 days sober, you’re good. Just suck it up for another day or so. Take hot bath, relax, try to sleep.

Don’t quit cold turkey. Have a beer.

Was trying to avoid the benzo route, just felt like replacing one crutch with another.
If you’re going to try anything as a substitute I’d recommend Kratom. 5-6ish capsules is pretty harmless and might relieve some of the agitation. I’m not a doctor though so take it fwiw

Pretty much, few exceptions where I went less than 48 hours. My liver is pissed at me.

Take a B complex, some milk thistle, and slowly drink Pedialyte. Take melatonin and valerian root during the night.

You should probably seek out a counselor to talk through the root cause of the problem.

The root cause of the problem is I didn't want to deal with my shite like a normal functioning adult.

I will look into it though, if I get back into habits or continue to feel the depression.

Appreciate the holistic approach advise. Got a morning activity after the gym.

There’s your issue. You need to deal with that first

People often have a misguided view of therapy. If you’re not taking the time for introspective thought throughout your day to day life you will have a difficult time identifying and fixing the self destructive habits. You should view therapy as an exercise of self awareness and not someone trying to fix you.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. Stay strong and just try to tough it out. It'll get easier, you aren't going crazy.

At night, instead of tv or anything else, find an audiobook that you're interested in and just try to relax and listen. You might have to restart at certain points but that's ok.
