Excellent. Now a full set of teeth will be a less rare sighting in Alabama.

Oh no...its done. The house has been the roadblock EVERY STINKING TIME. The Senate will pass it (maybe some funding modifications) and then voters will overwhelmingly vote for it. Now its all but done.

I agree with all that but Alabama does not have a lottery until I can drive down to the gas station to go buy a ticket.

Oh no... After Jindal... NO ONE can touch Louisiana's budget woes! Even Alabama's doesn't come that close!

The prize is a million bucks, but no lump sum option.

You get a $1 a year for a million years.

No they do not. It still has to be voted on by the citizens. And the state legislature missed the cut off date to have it on the Nov 8th ballot. So it will be a special election just for this issue. This likely means it will not pass.

I swore it was a sure thing back in '99 right up until it was voted no at the polls.
But that was a democrat governor that proposed that one.

If it can make the ballot, it will be voted in. I'm all for it and I don't even play the lottery when I'm in Florida

Nothing like a voluntary tax

Hope that Alabama strictly states where funds are to be used to help the state
