Are you Jewish? Because if not, don’t quote the Old Testament. Jesus Christ brought a new message.

It took 22 years to kill him

Capital punishment, although controversial, serves a purpose. It eliminates a murdering coward from ever getting out of prison (which many do) to kill again.

No! By the way, not all killing is murder and if you can't spot the difference between the two you are beyond help.

Had a co-worker, was a hard core conservative, as pro-death penalty as you would find. He gets called for jury duty on a murder case, the death penalty was on the table as a sentencing option. They convicted the guy, then when it came to decide the sentence everyone but him voted for the death penalty. When it can down to the point of sign the paper and he dies, he couldn't do it. He said he was convinced beyond a reasonable doubt the guy did it, but could not get past the one in a million chance he didn't and he being the one that had decided to execute him.

There is a 4% chance that they executed an innocent guy.

Chicken should abort your account.

You were reading a newspaper at your fathers funeral?
I'm sure it wasn't during the funeral. On those days you do whatever you can not to sink into abject grief and completely lose your mind.
I've been through way too many of those recently. The toughest part of getting older is burying people you love.
