Damn that video was hard to watch.

Cops should be charged with murder

For the last three years, Davidson was hoping to seek justice against the man who shot him for no reason. However, as is the case in so many other police shootings, the shooting was found to be justified — because the cop expressed a justifiable reason to fear for his life.

“The City, the Chief of Police and its officer have always denied any wrongdoing,” a statement from the City of Opelika in response to the most recent court ruling read. “This case has now been analyzed by two federal courts … The judges have unanimously determined after a review of the evidence, which includes the dash cam video, there was no wrongdoing on behalf of the City, the Chief, or the involved officer. In reaching their respective decisions, these Federal Courts reviewed all of the evidence. Their opinions are clearly supported by all evidence.”

he was parked on an incline and it was hard to open the door. He clearly had his wallet in his hand.
For Christ sake, the cop was responding to a traffic accident.

No reason to shoot him. The guy was trying to put his hands up as he was exiting the vehicle. And bootlickers wonder why people don't trust cops.

I have an idea. Don't exit your car like a bat outa hell when you're pulled over for a traffic stop. Basically don't act retarded and you'll be fine. Jumping out of your vehicle in the middle of the night with something black in your hand isn't the smartest move. I

Lol wat?

Yeah blame the civilian that clearly endangered the life of the cop here...

If you're arrested by a dumb cop for no reason, you have a better chance of fighting it and pleading your case to a judge after the fact. That doesn't make it right, but acting like an idiot still isn't a smart move.

He wasn't pulled over for a traffic stop. He got in a minor accident and called the cops himself and waited at the scene for him.

When the cop arrived, he got out of his car to show him his license and insurance information.

And was shot.

Of course it was. The police department would basically be admitting guilt otherwise.

You think they would do something that endangers the department?

He wasn't pulled over by the cop. He was in a wreck and he and the other vehicle were waiting on the police to file a report.

He obviously startled the cop who was already on edge. I think most cops aren't that smart and aren't that well trained. So I act as if they aren't that smart or well trained.

It's unfortunate and sad that bro was shot by a dumb cop.

I've been in a couple fender benders and waited in my car until the cop arrived and gotten out when he did arrive.

Just like this guy did.

He wasn't pulled over.

Two courts ruled it justified; I wasn't referring to the department.

Lucky. Because apparently our courts say that they would have been justified to shoot you.
