Weird for it to happen in that neighborhood
Unfortunately thieves don't target poor neighborhoods

I live here too (Southwood Dr). The police did collect several surveillance videos from the neighborhood yesterday. Fingers crossed.

The HOAs need to spend some of that money that they collect. There is one in shreveport that does it right. One way in or out, guard house with an actual guard in it who scans the DL of everyone who doesn't have a sticker.

And I'll wager a king's ransom the perpetrator(s) should already have been incarcerated for other crimes.
Disgusting savages. This is why the liberals always crying about “non violent crimes” is a farce. Burglary is a non-violent crime but has a high potential of turning into a violent crime.

Interesting that the latest crime wave around this area corresponds to the election of the George Soros backed DA. Have heard some anecdotal examples of him not prosecuting people.

And Louisiana’s sentencing has gotten much more lenient recently, and with early parole. Plus probation violations don’t send criminals back to prison.

Same in similar neighborhoods in Shreveport. The housing market here is soft, but due in large part to folks moving to Bossier.
And all the Bossier folk moving to Benton.

frick that
First off, Greenacres is a pretty damn big neighborhood and it’s right on the busiest street in Bossier. That would be a clusterfrick of epic proportions.
Second, frick having to get my DL scanned or having to purchase a fricking sticker just to get to my own house. I already have to pay for a sticker to drive my car that I pay for on the roads that I pay for.

My wife grew up in that neighborhood and has two grandparents that live in GreenAcres. It was Bossier's first homicide of year I believe. Definitely not the place I would expect

It was, kinda hard to believe that as well considering Shreveport is just over the river.

North Bossier is usually very safe. Thieves have changed tactics and are targeting wealthier areas now though

It's unsettling when it happens in decent areas. There are murders in BR all of the time in neighborhoods that I never go into. It's when one happens off of College Dr or Siegen that bothers me.

The Democrat-controlled cities in Louisiana are descending into third world status. Jackson, MS is another glaring example.

Do they have their side arm when at home.
I can't believe that anyone can be stupid enough to rob a military person.

I have no information other than the OP but my guess is that he confronted a vehicle burglar or just happened to surprise one. Either way it's sad. I hope they catch the piece of shite.
