67 is as crazy as 80 IMO.
75/76 during the day is fine to me.
73/74 at night.
Maybe a bit lower.
I just leave ours on 71 24/7, other than when we run the heater 6 times per year. During Covid, when everyone was home all day, I found it made little to no difference than adjusting it up and down for us.

If I stayed at an air b n b foe multiple nights under that situation,
I would just wire my own thermostat

Did an AirBNB in Corpus for the 4th last minute. Owner had control of the AC but so did I. We put it one what we thought was on, but it was the wrong setting. He set it up right, and asked we not go under 70 and only at night. That was perfectly fine for us. 74 during the day was OK and we weren't there during the day anyway. 80 is not a serious setting. This is trolling.

Anything less than 5* reviews really hurt AirBNB owners, Give them a legit bad review. Be careful what you say, make sure they can't fight it and get it erased and their business will hurt.
Also, I like the going full blast with all the faucets for the stay idea too.

Go to Home Depot, buy a old school thermostat, replace smart thermo stat… profit!
We rented a house for my wife's HS reunion in June, in Florida, and it was hotter than hell. About 80 degrees when we got there. I cranked down the AC (nest thermostat) and it didn't get any cooler over the next hour or so. Called the owner and she started tinkering with the app and pretended like she couldn't do anything with the thermostat and would have to call a contractor. I told her not to do so yet, give it some time. I changed the filter (they had some in the utility closet) cleaned the condenser coil and bought a $30 thermostat at Home Depot and installed it and by 6 PM that house was like a meat locker LOL. I called her and told her what I did and she was happier than hell that she did not have to call a contractor and we were able to enjoy the house for about 2 hours of my labor and $30. We would have had to go to a motel if I hadn't fixed it for her. I imagine she got it fixed but do not know for certain.

Id read the reviews before I booked that Airbnb. If a host locks in 80, they will have plenty of bad reviews
