I have a car that was one of the airbag recalled vehicles. I got a letter saying that they would pay up to $30 a day for a rental car until they get the replacement airbags anyone dealt with this?
It's a Ford

I would imagine you get a rental car while they fix your Ford. The rental car will be a max of 30 dollars per day. I can't go into much more detail.......because there isn't any.

Yep, on my Mercury Milan. They gave me a check for the rental amount and I used the other vehicle while at the dealership. Kind of a win-win for me.

And risk being injured if the recall airbag malfunctions? Only dipshits will do this. And if you think staying in your car will make them get you in quicker than others, you're incredibly stupid

A coworker of mine got the same recall. She contacted the local ford dealer and they gave her a loaner ford rental. They were adamant it had to be a ford loaner.

The dealer only had a limited number of loaners so they started wait listing. They advised to not drive it until fixed.

So they just give you a 30 dollar check for each day? It's not like a credit at enterprise or something .It said it would be second or third quarter this year so it could be months

Well, the second quarter of this year is going to end in about 3 days, so this may not take long at all!

This was two years ago and it took two days. They cut me a check for $60, in one check.
I never had an air bag sensor go off or anything, which was the sign of the defect.

Drive it into a wall. See if they’ll pay you
