Via Aviation Week.

The U.S. Air Force on Aug. 16 named JetZero as the winner of a $235 million contract to partially fund the development and production of the first full-scale blended wing body (BWB) demonstrator to achieve a first flight in four years.

By optimizing the inboard section of a blended wing to carry payload, JetZero proposes that the BWB configuration can achieve 50% fuel savings compared to a traditional “tube-and-wing” commercial aircraft.

They need to speed up their intellectual property theft from the United States to offset their looming massive population problem.

Wish them the best with that whole thing.

I’d like to see a list of the venture capitalists funding JetZero.

I mean, aren't modern commercial aircraft wings designed more for durability and safety than fuel economy? That's a bigger priority for commercial travel than fuel.

Who the hell is Jet Zero?!??
That’s some nice vapor ware. Why would the Air Force award a contract to a start-up company that’s never built actual aircraft?!? Yeah, I call BS on 50% fuel savings.

I am kidding.

Those countries are further behind then the US leads the people to believe and they like it that way.
