SO I could date a 16 year old?
If you're 18, then yeah. I don't see any problem with an 18 year old dating a 16 year old.

So, she's 1?

I'm 34 and currently dating a girl that is about to turn 20. We really like each other and are going to see how things go. IDGAF what people think. In the end, nobody goes home with you. It's just you and her, so if you can find love and have a happy life, do it.

My grandparents were 15 years apart and seemed happy enough. Not that big of a deal.

How did yall meet?
We have been going to the same church for a year. She chased me down in the parking lot after service one day and asked for my number. I'm neighbors with the music minister's family, which she is related to. They told her she should ask me out. I talk crap on TD, but I'm really a good geniune guy.

If he's 35-40, it's creepy and she's likely got big issues.
If he's 40-50, not so much.
If he's 55, not weird.

Good for you, but the girl likely has issues that will come out at some point.

Gotcha. Well good luck
Only concern is just that where she is maturity wise and where you are maturity wise. And factor in her friends. That is a huge thing. All her friends will be going out frequently once they turn 21. They are gonna want her to join them and be a typical young person in their 20s. Dating someone that young...you run the risk of them quickly resenting you of taking their youth away. Not saying it can't work, just pointing out obstacles you two may face and that you would need to seriously consider.

If she was that type of person, I wouldn't be interested anyways. I don't want a party girl. Sure, I like to go out and have fun every now and then. And I'd have no problem with her wanting to go out with her friends from time to time. I dang sure would want a guys night out too.

Point is...she is only 19 so you have no idea. Wait until she turns 21 and can actually have that option to go out....and her friends her own age are all going out.
Just saying....you change sooooo much as a person between 19-25.

Remember when you were 20....did you go out with your friends "time to time" or every weekend? Don't try to take that experience from her if that is what she wants. And her dating an older guy at that age....could make her think she really wants to be more settled...then later on she realizes she missed out on a time in her life when she could have been more carefree. Those are the women that go crazy in their 40s, newly divorced and trying to regain what they didn't get to experience in their 20s.

oh the myth of female "maturity" - how cute
some of the most vapid, immature women i know are all over 30+ and use facebook daily for ego validation.

I didn't change much if at all.

I'm not trying to take anything away from anyone. Like I said, she pursued me. So a woman needs to go out and act like a whore for a few years or she will feel like she missed out on something?

If that is true...you must still be very immature and that's why you get along so well with someone that young.

Going out with friends every weekend doesn't mean you are acting like a whore. I was in a committed relationship at that age with someone my age and I didn't "act like a whore". I just wasn't worried about getting married and having kids at 21-22. I was finishing up in school and thinking about all the vacations, fun things I could do/buy once I started making more money.

Thoughts on a guy who is 28 and woman who is 21?
I'm hesitant to act.

I'd say as long as you aren't ready to settle down and marry ...have fun. Proceed with a lil caution...but have fun.
