Can't lie. Hell of a match there besides some of the spray silliness.

The surprise has got to be Andrade, right?

PPV card is a sneaky solid. No A+ matches, but everything should be good.

Though it's not good when Shiavone actually has to say "this will not be a cinematic match."

no... pretty sure he's still under the no compete clause from his WWE contract

For whatever reason, Brandon Cutler is reminding me of Bill Alfonso out there during the Bucks’ matches.

quote:shite, you're right. I hope it's not like the last 2 defection "surprises" which is what Wolfe would be. Corny is right about them giving away too much for free as DoN has the feel of a Clash card with the exception of the cinematic stadium stampede.

Sting being back in the ring might just lure me into making the hour drive from Daytona to Jacksonville that night. I didn't go to an event from the end of 2002 (RAW in Orlando) until (14/15) Extreme Rules in Chicago (it was the year tND won their first tag titles and I that was the night they pulled Bryan from the card right before his retirement.) So we missed Punk & Brock, Sting was not at the Nitro I attended the night after Pillman died, and though I saw him plenty before 2003 my kids missed Taker.
So yeah...I think I can handle $60/ticket so my hard-core wrestling fan son can see Sting. (I wouldn't mind seeing their setup...though I wish we could get into the CWC to see the NXT setup instead.)

I thought Andrade had no no compete....didn’t he work for AAA since his release?

shite if they don’t their ratings will probably drop to the 700-750k range.

Wolfe will also still be under the no compete when DoN happens
quite frankly I don't know a "big name" available by showtime for that spot
Paul "Giant/Big Show" Wight possibly... but I know that will likely disappoint a lot of people
SRS suggested a 1-off for Nick Gage to let him get a bit of national exposure following his DSotR episode... see if he gets on with a regular audience outside of the deathmatch scene

I thought Andrade had no no compete...
that report was disputed... and it would make sense that WWE would have a no compete clause on all of its talent

AAA isn't really a "competitor" to WWE per se since AAA doesn't have a US TV deal
plus his only appearance has been a video vignette... not anything in ring yet
Triplemania won't happen until long after his no compete ends... so I could see him popping up on AEW to promote the match against Omega for the AAA Mega Championship (and I would expect Andrade to be signed by AEW at some point)
